Alvarinho grapes are originally placed between the Minho River and the mountain slope, overcoming the obstacles of the terrain and altitude. It is a grape variety with a strong character, intense color and complex aromas. The subtle notes of fruits and flowers, or the waiting time, the character that refines and matures over time, make this grape variety unique.
The harvest was always accompanied by the sound of birds and some concertinas, where everyone could feel the emotion of being “minhoto”, of being Portuguese. Women didn’t let a single bunch escape in the vineyards, while men carried baskets filled with grapes to the ox wagon.
